I think I have known Russ since I was in Junior High (that's 7th grade in the old days).
He was 6 years older, but always a decent guy to me.
I think this was years before Kristin and Russ started to date, but in a small town our paths would often meet, and he was a great friend and brother in law that is so missed...
Throughout his life, he set an example to us all of a no-holes-barred, true to the core, nice guy that was always willing to listen or discuss his passions in life. His non-judgmental attitude towards others was something we see so little of anymore and I found it one powerful character trait that will long remind me of him in my own life.
Peace Russell

I have known Russell for years and he had a great sense of humor, he was very caring, loved to be out with friends out at my uncle's farm. He loved his family with everything he had all his heart. I am going to miss his he is one of the first friends my mom had when we moved back to Monticello in 1999 and had been my mom's longest friend and I know that she is going to miss him just as much as the rest of us are. Russell we love you and we are going to miss you like crazy. Rest In Peace. Fly High. God Called You Home For A Reason and because he did You Got Your Wings.
