How I came across this 2 years after Norm's death is unbeknown to me, but since I did, I'd like to offer my condolences. I attended Upper Iowa University with Jeff and had the opportunity to spend a number of occasions at the McCormick household. Such a wonderful family and Norm's fatherly presence was loving and caring in every way!

Camp Courageous was blessed to have Norm McCormick in its life. During camp’s early years, when survival was hanging by a thin thread, Norm would always be there to help. As owner of McCormick’s Locker, Norm processed tons of meat for Camp Courageous. From deer, to pork, to beef, Norm worked closely with many who desired to donate meat. Norm was also a wonderful father, to a great family, he and Peggy raised, all also involved with camp. Norm and Peggy later became neighbors to Camp Courageous. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Peggy, their children, along with family and friends. Norm will be always remembered here, for being there for the camp during its most challenging times….
