My sympathies to Paul's family and friends. Paul was one of the more memorable people I met while working at Weyerhaeuser. The obit says he was a shipping clerk, but he was actually the shipping manager during my time there ('73- '85). Paul had a challenging and important job as the shipping mananger as he coordinated all the shipments of a VERY busy boxplant, and he did an excellent job at it. He was always filled with energy and good humor, enjoying lots of laughs with those he worked with. I especially remember how Paul would always make it to work on time even in the worst of winter conditions from Monticello with his front-wheel drive Olds Tornado (?). I think it was green. Meanwhile, on some of those wintry days, we got call-ins from other employees who lived just several miles away who said they were unable to get to work that day because of the snow! I have remembered him often over the years since I last saw him. Oh, and Paul always reminded me of Babe Ruth with that barrel chest of his!Paul was one of "the good guys" I knew.
