Obituary of Michael John Deutmeyer

Michael J. Deutmeyer, 41, of Worthington, Iowa died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 as a result of a farming accident in rural Dyersville, Iowa. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2011, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish scripture service will be held at 4 p.m. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2011, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Worthington, Iowa with burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Dyersville, Iowa. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate. Mike "Dewy" was born June 29, 1970 in Manchester, Iowa the son of Gerald and Alice (Mensen) Deutmeyer. He married Kathy Jo Arensdorf on November 11, 1995 in Worthington, Iowa. Mike loved his wife, children, family & friends. He also enjoyed farming, four wheeling, International tractors, and his Farmall 350 which was newly restored and attended tractorcades with it. Mike was a meticulous craftsman and floor installer and maintained everything in which he came into contact. He was a great conversationalist to which he will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife Kathy, 3 children: Courtney, Emily and Eric all at home, his parents, Gerald and Alice Deutmeyer of Dyersville, two sisters: Tammy (Carl) Ronnebaum of North Liberty, IA, Stacey (Kevin) Willenbring of Luxemburg, IA, one brother, Matt Deutmeyer of Dyersville, father and mother-in-law: Robert & Diane Arensdorf of Dubuque, IA, sisters-and-brothers-in-law: Tammy (Mike) Wills of Galena, IL, Ginger (Ron) Smith of Dubuque, Corey (Michelle) Arensdorf of Cedar Rapids, IA, nieces and nephews: Morgan and Clair Ronnebaum, Caleb, Molly and Leah Willenbring, Samantha McAtee, Cole, Morgan and Riley Wills, Sage and Jack Smith, Logan and Aubrey Arensdorf. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert and Marcella Deutmeyer, maternal grandparents, Edmund and Irene Mensen.
