Obituary of Christina Mae Kremer

Christina M. Kremer, 91, of Cascade and formerly of Worthington, Iowa died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 - 8 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2012, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a vigil service will be held at 5 p.m. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Worthington, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Noah Diehm will officiate. Christina was born April 18, 1920, the daughter of Nicholas and Clara (Stieber) Reiter. She married George C. Kremer on December 29, 1942 in Sand Springs, Iowa. Together they farmed near Cascade and raised their family. Christina enjoyed cooking, baking and flower gardening. She was a member of St. Paul's parish from 1950 to present. Survivors include her children: Paul (Betty) Kremer of Papillion, NE, Mary Bridges of Dubuque, Larry (Becky) Kremer of Peosta, Don (Kathy) Kremer of Toddville and Bob (Anita) Kremer of Cascade, 13 grandchildren: 19 great grandchildren, one brother, John (Mildred) Reiter of Cascade and a sister-in-law, Florence (Karl) Spoden of Farley. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George in 1986, two sons: Nick and George Kremer, siblings: Lambert and Francis Reiter, Margaret Stelken and Lucille Loes, in-laws: Clara Knipper, Mary Ann Beck and Frank and Norbert Kremer. A sincere thank you to the staff at Shady Rest Care Center and Hospice of Dubuque for the compationate care they provided.
