Obituary of Albert B. Schulte

NEW VIENNA, IOWA

Albert B. Schulte, 93, of New Vienna, Iowa passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Accura Healthcare in Cascade, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 3 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville.  Visitation will continue at Kramer Funeral Home from 9 - 10 a.m. Wednesday prior to funeral mass.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Vienna with burial in the church cemetery where military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post #137 and VFW Post #7736.  Rev. Chris Podhajsky will officiate.

Albert was born on December 6, 1929, in New Vienna, Iowa, the son of John and Barbara (Steffen) Schulte.  He married Blanche Bockenstedt on August 21, 1956, in West Union.  Together they farmed & raised their family near New Vienna. Albert enjoyed working in Agricultural Real Estate, auctioneering, and watching the Chicago White Sox.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Blanche, children: Ken (Barb) Schulte of Luxemburg, Laurie (Steve) Hermsen of Monticello, Gary (Linda) Schulte of New Vienna, Dan (Deb) Schulte of Dyersville, grandchildren: Ashley (Jesse) Gloeckner, Emily (David Menendez) Schulte, Stephanie (Nick) Georgen, Kayla (Sawyer) Stewart, Amy Hermsen, Melissa (Jake) Hyde, Kelly (Matt) Hertzfeldt, Tracy (Vince) Ramos, Wyatt Schulte, Morgan Schulte, step-grandchildren: April Moyer, Amber Kreischer, Troy Moyer, great grandchildren: Braelyn Moore, Willa, Lennyx, and Suttyn Gloeckner, Charlie, Charlotte, Clara, and Knox Georgen, Kade, Keaton, and Kennedy Hermsen, Dawson and Mya Hyde, Lexi and Tanner Hertzfeldt, Aspen Ramos, step-great grandchildren, General and Kafani Moyer, Karma Rome, Scottlyn and Coda Moyer, Oden and Aurora Kreischer, in-laws: Leona Tauke, Fred (Barb) Bockenstedt, Dennis (Judy) Bockenstedt, Dean (Rosalee) Bockenstedt, Jean (Ken) Kramer, Phyllis (Jim) Tigges, and Lois Bockenstedt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, Leonard and Catherine Bockenstedt, siblings: Rose M. (Anton) Menke, Joe Schulte, Lawrence (Frances) Schulte, Alphonse Schulte, Elmer Schulte, Catherine (Lavern) Lux, Alvina (Carl) Beringer, Marie (Eugene) Drees, and Leona Schulte, in-laws: Leo (Rita) Bockenstedt, Marion (Allan) Koelker, Marv Tauke, Patsy (Butch) Wegmann, and many nieces and nephews.
