Obituary of Karlyn Keuter-King

Karlyn Sue Keuter-King, 39, of Houston, TX, formerly of Dyersville, IA succumbed to cancer on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at her home. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Houston, Texas on Monday, June 4, 2012. Karlyn was born September 15, 1972 in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Lloyd and Judy (Tebbe) Keuter. She married Tom King on June 26, 2004 at St. Theresa Church in Houston. Karlyn graduated from Western Dubuque High School and Winona State University where she was active in volleyball and softball. Karlyn was also involved in music at WD and with the Xavier Basilica Folk Group. She was most recently employed by Bank of America Merchant Services in Houston and was an active volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul church and school. Survivors are her husband, Tom, son, Max, daughter, Kenna all from Houston, her parents, Lloyd and Judy Keuter of Farley, sisters: Kayla of Kansas and Karris of North Carolina. Preceding her in death are her brother, Kendall, and maternal and paternal grandparents. Thanks to everyone who offered prayers, support, caring words and acts of kindness to Karlyn and family during the past months. May her smile radiate and be remembered by all of you. In lieu of flowers, donations to memorial funds in support of the education of their children are preferred.
