Obituary of Rose Ann Willenborg

PETERSBURG, IOWA Rose Ann Willenborg, 84, of Petersburg, was born into eternal life on the day of her savior’s birth, Dec. 25, 2016. Visitation will be held from 3-7 pm Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at the Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville where a parish vigil service will be held at 5 pm. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 9-10 am at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, Dec. 28, at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Petersburg with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. John O’Connor will officiate. Rose Ann was born March 22, 1932, in Petersburg the daughter of Raymond and Amanda (Bruggeman) Rubly. She married Harley Willenborg on August 29, 1950, in Petersburg and together they farmed east of Petersburg. She was a lifelong member of SS Peter and Paul Parish and the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed winning at cards, playing bingo, dominos and other games with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Harley; 3 children: Neil (Marie) of Petersburg, Lynn (Mark) Vining of Iowa City, and Tammy (Scott) Auderer of Ankeny; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; siblings: Sister Ann and Sister Lene Rubly, OSF, both of Dubuque, Jack (Mary Ann) Rubly of Farley and Deb Young of Strawberry Point. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Keith Willenborg. The family would like to thank Dr. Ries, Dr. Whalen and the staffs of Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque and Dyersville, and Hospice of Dubuque for their care and concern during her final days.
