DYERSVILLE, IOWA Marvin W. Ostwinkle, 70, of Dyersville, Iowa died Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center, Dyersville, Iowa. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a Vigil Service will be held at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Noah Diehm will officiate. Marvin was born February 14, 1943 in Dyersville, the son of Alfred and Anna Mae (Digman) Ostwinkle. He graduated from Xavier High School with the Class of 1961 and continued working on the family farm for the rest of his life. Marvin loved to visit with people, especially at the sale barns and on his Sunday drives in the country checking the crops. He also loved to watch football and baseball. Teasing his great nieces and nephews was a lot of mutual fun. Survivors include his siblings: Leroy, Charles (Helen) and Paul (Kay) Ostwinkle all of Dyersville; nieces and nephews: Cathy (Steve) Harvey, Cindy (friend Jeremy Donohue) Ostwinkle, Terry (Tanya) Ostwinkle, Jenny (Charlie) White and Kristi (Tom) Coyle; 14 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
