Steve and Nick,
Even though I didn't know Laura all that well, I was always impressed with her cheeriness and beautiful smile. I would hear from others what a great daycare provider she was. Feeling so much sadness for you both! Have faith that she's in a better place and she will always be with you in spirit. Hold onto those many beautiful memories I'm sure you both have.

In memory of a very special person who could always make us laugh. We will always remember the fun times we had during card club, camping and backyard campfires. We will always remember Laura with fondness and our hearts are breaking with sadness. May she rest in peace and now be able to once again laugh and no longer be in pain.

I offer my sincere condolences at the departure of Laura for Heaven. She had such a friendly, outgoing personality. It was impossible not to like her. Her smile could light up any room. She will be truly missed. Although her daily presence is no longer on earth, Laura will continue to live on in our memories and in our hearts. My prayers are with Laura's entire family that God will comfort you in your time of grief.

I credit Laura with helping raise our two children - she was most definitely a second mother to both of them. Laura helped our daughter come through a "scary" time, as my daughter calls it, and essentially raised our son from infancy. He wasn't an easy infant to care for, most definitely, but Laura handled all of it with humor and patience and kindness. I have no doubt that she loved them both - just as she loved all of her daycare kids. Our daughter grew up with Nick and another young boy the same age and they were like the Three Musketeers - virtually inseparable. Laura was instrumental in forming our son into the thoughtful and inquisitive young man he is now at 14.
My heart is breaking for Steve and Nick and aches for the loss of such a beautiful and impactful and wonderful woman. I know God is holding her in his loving arms and comforting her. Heaven has gained an angel.

Our 3 year old had the honor of being cared for by Laura for a year and a half. She hadn't gone there for a couple months now as I changed my job, but we were planning a play date to get together with Laura and the kids as Lilly loved going there so much. Laura would do the girls' hair in pony tails and paint their finger nails. She would sit down and play puzzles and games with them, and help them play educational games on the computer. A couple times a week Lilleyn would come home with a craft that Laura helped them construct. At age 2 Lilly was coming home knowing items that started with different letters of the alphabet such as X for Xylophone. Laura loved her "kids" and treated them all so well - they will truly be lost with out her. She was an exceptional human being and touched the lives of many - starting at a young age. We are thinking about you Steve and Nick. Please holler if you need anything at all!!! Hugs XXXXXX

I will never forget the great times hanging out with Laura whether it was a girls' movie night, playing cards, or camping. I especially remember a time we had a girls' only camp out with my daughters and Laura in a tent! It was filled with tons of laughter and then it started to rain....then half of our tent collapsed....we just laughed harder!! We played all kinds of games and did a lot of girl talk....it was wonderful! Laura was full of love and kindness - always thinking of others - I will miss her terribly.

I will always give Laura credit for teaching our boys how to ride bike, learn the alphabet and write their name for the first time ever. Laura's daycare kids meant a lot to her. She went to great effort to bring them joy at Christmas by arranging a visit from Santa at her daycare holiday party. She spent hours and hours at the table in the basement playing board games, cards, puzzles, coloring and story telling with our boys when they were in her care. We looked forward to seeing her in her witch hat every Halloween. My boys still talk about eating crackers and spray cheese from a can with Laura. She introduced that to them, along with many other things. Laura will be missed. So sorry for your loss.

I will always remember Laura for her laughter and the many fun times we had in our card club, camping, backyard campfires and all of the other times we gathered with friends for a few drinks and a lot of laughter. She was always so much fun and had such funny stories to tell and in the way she would tell those stories made me laugh so hard that I cried.....and now I cry for another reason. She will definitely be missed. You have my sincerest sympathy.
