DYERSVILLE, IOWA Jo Nell "Joey" Kolle, 54, of Dyersville, Iowa died Monday, April 29, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, Iowa after a courageous 28 year battle with cancer. Friends may call from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Epworth United Methodist Church, Epworth, Iowa with inurnment at a later date. Pastor Stephanie Schlimm will officiate. Joey Wenaas was born August 20, 1958 in Mayville, North Dakota, the daughter of Theodore and Esther (Kensrud) Wenaas. She graduated from high school in Hillsboro, ND and from college at Mayville State University in Mayville, ND. She married Cameron Kolle on August 17, 1980 in Bemidji, Minnesota. They resided in Grand Forks, ND, until moving to Dyersville, where they have lived for the last 18 years. She was employed by Ertl/Tomy International and previously served as a board member at RACOM Community Credit Union. She enjoyed collecting angels and Isabel Bloom statues. Joey also enjoyed photography, traveling, attending family functions and most importantly friends and family, especially her grandson. Survivors include her husband, Cam; her son, Christopher Kolle of Dyersville, IA; daughter, Stephanie (Josh) Olson of Thief River Falls, MN; one grandchild, Alex Olson; brother, Bruce Wenaas of Drayton, ND; sisters: Gail Wenaas of Colorado, Merry Lynn Wenaas of Bemidji, MN, Connie (Darrel) Carlson of Bemidji, MN, and Leslie (Lupe) De La Cruz of Elloree, SC; mother-in-law, Donna Kolle of Fergus Falls, MN; many nieces and nephews; and all the extended Kolle Clan. She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Art Kolle. The family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and support over the years. F.R.O.G. Fully Rely On God
