I am so glad I had a chance to visit with your mother at the GNH. I loved her stories and it brightened my day and also my mother's day (Florence Meis). What a joy to have met her and know that God has a very special home for her now!! Wishing you peace.

I am sorry to learn there was a death in your family. The loss of a loved one is very painful. I'd like to share scripture that my bring comfort to your family. Mark 5:35-43 reads in part...While Jesus was speaking, he overheard men telling an officer of the synagogue that his daughter died. Upon hearing this, Jesus, Peter, James and John, the brother of James, went alone to the officer's home. When they arrived, Jesus went to the child and told her to get up. Immediately, she got up. You see, Jehovah promises a resurrection of our loved ones. (Acts 24:15) We must have faith in this promise. We can also strengthen our faith by reading Isaiah 55:11 and Isaiah 25:8.

As homebound Eucharistic Ministers for St. Mary Church, it was always a pleasure to deliver Communion to Leona. Though she couldn't see, and had great difficulty hearing, she was ever so thankful. We were last at the Good Neighbor Home Sunday March 17th and Leona was in a hospital bed in her room - - something we'd never seen before as she was usually in her chair with a rosary in her had. We knew she was weak; however, she did receive Communion and as I touched her face giving her a blessing she still had enough energy to say "thank you". She was special in so many ways and will be remembered in our prayers.
