Obituary of Dorothy Hunt MRS

Survivors include 1 son, Steve (Ellen) Hunt of Dyersville, IA, 4 daughters, Starla (Robin) Potter of Overland Park, KS, June (Richard) Speck of Mechanicsburg, IL, Ann (Booker) Scott of Seattle, WA and Lori (Todd) Prehoda of Buffalo, IL. 3 brothers, Bob (Jean) Digmann of Ames, IA, Dale (Judy) Digmann of Worthington and Dave (Chris) Digmann of Lebanon, MO. 1 sister, Nancy (Jake) Besler of Farley. 6 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, 3 brothers Charles "Jim", Morris and Kenny and 1 sister, Grace (John) Kramer. Dorothy was born May 21, 1927, in Dyersville, Iowa, the daughter of Henry J. "Heinie" and Aileen (Cavanaugh) Digmann. She married Clyde "Bud" Hunt on November 24, 1947 in St. Paul Catholic Church, Worthington, Iowa. Dorothy was a 4-H Leader for five years and an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Paul Catholic Church. She and Bud thoroughly enjoyed dancing and playing cards. They farmed in the Worthington area until their retirement. Bud preceded her in death October 11, 1992. Dorothy recently moved to the Ellen Kennedy Assisted Living Center in Dyersville. There she enjoyed all of the social activities and visiting with friends and family. The Altar and Rosary Society will recite a rosary at 4:00 p.m. and the parish scripture service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to Tri State Dialysis.
