Mrs. Graff was born April 20, 1912 in New Vienna, Iowa the daughter of Louis and Josephine (Schwers) Pape. She married Edmund T. Kirsch November 24, 1938. He died in 1963. On July 27, 1974 Rose married Peter N. Graff. He preceded her in death in 1989. Rose was a homemaker. She was a Volunteer Quilter, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a member of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include 1 daughter, Grace (Robert) Leigh of Dyersville and a son, Fred (Jeanne) Kirsch of Golden Valley, MN. 2 step children, Paul Graff of Independence, Iowa and Joyce Jones of Portsmouth, VA. 7 Grandchildren, Alan, Jay and Rob Leigh, Lisa Peterson, Gina Lukan, Mike and Jon Kirsch. 8 step grandchildren, Mary Moothart, Karen Senn, Bonnie Meyer, Larry and Steve Freemon, Nick, Tony and Monte Graff. 3 great grandchildren, Todd and Randi Leigh and Olivia Lukan and 14 step great grandchildren 2 sisters, Marie Robinson of Kansas City, MO. and Rita Rosacker of Guttenberg, IA. Rose was also preceded in death by a grandson, Dan Leigh, a step daughter, Esther Freemon, 6 brothers, Wm, Lewis, Herbert, Richard, Bernard and Art Pape and 2 sisters Josephine Graff and Paula Pape.
