Surviving are her husband Eugene, of New Vienna; three daughters: Patricia (Dale) Demmer, Elaine (Cletus) Urbain all of Dyersville and Janice (Wayne L.) Steffen of New Vienna; eight sons: David Prier of Marina CA, Carl (Julie) Prier of Dyersville, Wayne ( Beverly) Prier of Dyersville, Dale (Sandy) Prier of Hopkinton, Allen (Joyce) Prier of Elkader, Mark (Annette) Prier of Dubuque, Daniel (Kim) Prier of Dyersville and Donald Prier of Dyersville; one son-in-law, Mark Hermsen of Dyersville; 29 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; three sisters: Florence (Joe) Meis of Holy Cross, Alice (Richard) Nadermann of Dyersville and Mary (Charles) Hellman of Holy Cross; five brothers: Eugene (Helen) Steffensmeier of Farley, Eldon (Clara) Steffensmeier of Dyersville, Donald (Elaine) Steffensmeier of Cascade, Wilfred (Andrea) Steffensmeier of Farley and James (Rita) Steffensmeier of Dyersville; One sister-in-law, Agnes Steffensmeier of Dyersville. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Lois Hermsen, and one brother, Arthur Steffensmeier. Lucille was born February 18, 1930, in Dyersville the daughter of Emil & Monica (Westhoff) Steffensmeier. She married Eugene Prier on January 3, 1953 in Dyersville. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church of New Vienna and the Catholic Order of the Forrsters. She enjoyed gardening, feeding her chickens, canning her fruits and vegetables and sewing. She enjoyed her family and friends.
