Juanita J. "Nita" Ostwinkle, 52, of Worthington, IA, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center, Dyersville after a lengthy battle with cancer. Friends may call from 2 - 9 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2005, at the Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish scripture service will be held at 5 p.m. and a Rosary Society Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2005, St. Paul Catholic Church in Worthington with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Douglas Loecke will officiate. Nita was born April 12, 1952, in Dubuque, IA the daughter of Ernest and Del Rose (Tobin) Ostwinkle. She graduated from Western Dubuque High School in the Class of 1970 and began working for the Ertl (toy) Company and later Racing Champions until she became disabled. Nita enjoyed and was talented at many types of crafts. She could paint, sew, or crochet just about anything you could imagine. She also enjoyed gardening and shopping. She is survived by her mother, Del Rose Ostwinkle of Worthington, 4 brothers: Michael "Mickey" (Jayne) and Darryl, both of Worthington, Dennis (friend Sandy Sheib) of Richland, IA and Dean (Deb) of Hopkinton; a sister-in-law, Julie Ostwinkle of Worthington, and many nieces and nephews. Nita was preceded in death by her father, Ernest in 1974, and a brother, Ronald, in 1998. Nita wanted to "Thank Fr. Loecke for his friendship, caring and kindness to me. It meant a lot."
