Obituary of Ruth Dorothy Kramer

Ruth was born January 1, 1925, the daughter of John and Johanna (Lueck) Eilers. Ruth received her education from the Xavier Schools and graduated from Xavier High School in 1943. She continued on with her education and graduated from Dubuque Cosmotology College in 1946. Ruth was a licensed cosmetologist. She married Walter "Bing" Kramer at St. Francis Xavier Church on April 28, 1953. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2000. Ruth was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish. She was a homemaker and her family was most important to her. Ruth enjoyed family vacations, reading, taking pictures and taking short car rides. She lived her entire life in Dyersville. Surviving are her two sons: Gary and Alan (Susan Konzen) both of Dyersville, one sister, Eunice Hauber of Dyersville, one brother-in-law, Vince McLees of Cascade, several cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Ray and Eugene (LouMay) Eilers, three sisters: Jeanette (Eugene) Tauke, Helen (Harold) Laures and Edith McLees, brother-in-law, Bernard Hauber. Friends may call from 3 - 8 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2011, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish scripture service will be held at 4 p.m. and the Dyersville Fire Dept. will gather at 6 p.m. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2011, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Noah Diehm will officiate.
