Dolores was born November 4, 1925 in Dyersville, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Engelken) Kruse. She graduated from Xavier High School in 1943 and attended Bayless Business College. Dolores married Robert "Ozzie" English on October 22, 1949 in St. Francis Xavier Church in Dyersville, Iowa. Her life was centered around her family and she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Dolores was a member of St. Francis Xavier parish, Catholic Daughters of America, American Legion Auxiliary and former member of Dyersville Golf and Country Club. Her latest occupation was as a legal secretary until her retirement. Survivors include 4 daughters: Kathy (Chris) Goedken of Dyersville, IA, Mary Ellen (Charles) Brucato Jr. of Brick, N.J., Peggy English of Dyersville, Iowa and Jackie English of Coralville, IA; 4 sons: Michael (Julie) English, Patrick (Mae) English and Tim (Angela) English all of Dyersville, IA and Thomas (Lisa) English of Dubuque; 13 grandchildren: Anne and John Goedken, Charles, Mary Ellen and Daniel Brucato, Robert, Jennifer and Gwen English, Claire and Bennett English, Maggie, Kelly and Abby English. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, 4 brothers: Gilbert, Leander, Lawrence and Rev. Donald Kruse and 2 sisters: Virginia Kruse and Mildred Willenborg. The family would like to thank Shady Rest Care Center, the Alzheimer's Association and Hospice of Dubuque for their continued care.
