Survivors include her husband Fred, 3 daughters: Linda (Steve) Kerper of New Vienna, IA, Sharon (Mike) Wolfe of Ryan, IA and Carmen (Santiago) Sanchez of Cedar Rapids, IA; 3 sons: Steve Goedken and Dan (Mary) Goedken, both of Petersburg, IA and Kevin (Lisa) Goedken of Worthington, IA; 12 grandchildren: Chris (Danielle) Kerper of Peosta, IA, Cheri Kerper of Dubuque, IA, Craig Kerper of New Vienna, IA, Shawn and Nick Wolfe both of Cedar Rapids, IA and Tim Wolfe and special friend Jennifer Anderson of Cedar Falls, IA, Kandi Wolfe of Ames, Iowa, Jesse Wolfe of Ryan, IA, Matthew and Amanda Goedken, both of Petersburg, IA, Ryan and Cody Goedken of Worthington, IA;. 2 step grandchildren: Becky Sanchez of Minneapolis, MN and Issac Sanchez of Dubuque, IA, 1 great granddaughter, Elisabeth Kerper. 2 brothers: Clarence (Catherine) Pins and Lavern (Marcille) Pins both of Farley, IA; 2 sisters: Marilyn (Bill) Beyer of Epworth, IA, Donna Goerdt of Dyersville, IA, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Eileen Pins of Dubuque, IA, Sister Ivan Goedken of Dubuque, IA, John and Mildred Reiter of Cascade, IA and Ralph and Carol Goedken of Alamo, Texas Mrs. Goedken was born on June 13, 1921 in Bankston, Iowa, the daughter of William G. and Sylvia (Schmitt) Pins. She married Fred Goedken on September 15, 1949, in Bankston, Iowa. Fred and Elaine farmed together on the Goedken home farm near Petersburg until retirement in 2000. She enjoyed sewing, playing piano, cooking, canning, gardening and especially enjoyed her family. Elaine was a member of the Ss. Peter & Paul Altar and Rosary Society. Friends may call from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2005, at the Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where the Rosary Society Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and the parish scripture service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2005, Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Petersburg with burial in Ss Peter & Paul Cemetery. Rev. John O'Connor will officiate.
