Survivors include her 2 daughters: Doris (Walter) Kramer of Worthington and Dina Schwendinger of Dyersville, IA; 4 grandchildren: Jason (Kristi) Kramer, Molly (Matt) Monahan, Amy Schwendinger all of Dyersville and Paula (Steve) Ervolino of Dubuque, IA; 4 great-grandchildren: Brianna and Alexis Kramer and Eric and Kylie Monahan all of Dyersville; 2 step great-grandchildren: Tanner and Natalie Ervolino, one sister, Wilma Nurre of Dyersville, brother in-lawAlbin Bries of Ryan and a sister in-law, Leora Willenbring of Dyersville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emery in 1997, a granddaughter, Shelly Kramer, a sister, Geralda Bries, brothers and sisters in-law, Cleo Nurre, Lester Willenbring and Jeanette and Ambrose Weber. Condolences accepted and information at www.kramerfuneral.com. Flavia was born on July 6, 1917 in Dyersville, Iowa, the daughter of Alfred and Amelia (Becker) Kister. She attended rural schools and graduated from Xavier High School in June 1935, then took normal (teacher) training in Cedar Falls. Flavia taught in rural schools in Delaware County. She married Emery C. Willenbring on May 3, 1941 in Dyersville, Iowa. Together they farmed west of town for over 50 years. Flavia also taught C.C.D. classes, assisted with handicapped children and did volunteer work at the Basilica. She was a member of the Order of Martha's and Dyersville Historical Society and especially enjoyed many hours at the Dyersville Senior Center.
