There will also be visitation at 10:00 a.m. before the Remembrance Service on April 28, 2006 at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Hopkinton, IA. Survivors include his brother, Russell of West Lebanon, N.H, a niece, Ann Marie Smith of Marion, a nephew, Jeffrey Russell Johnson of Des Moines and a special friend, Ann Millenkamp of Dyersville. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Mary Ethel Johnson. Condolences accepted and information at www.kramerfuneral.com. Carl was born November 8, 1942 in St. Charles, IL the son of Willie and Willia Mae (Loop) Johnson. He married Mary Ethel Richardson and she preceded him in death. Carl owned and operated the Dyersville Auto Parts store (NAPA) for many years. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a Plank member on the USS Enterprise, a member of the V.F.W. Post 6637 and Legion Post 0311 in Hopkinton and past member of the Masonic Lodge. Carl was on the board of directors of the Dyersville Airport and one of it's original organizers.
