Surviving are 7 daughters: Jan (Ed) Day of New Berlin, Wis., Joyce (Dale Lenz) Kramer of Dubuque, Iowa, Lynn (Steve) Galvin of Moline Ill., Caril (Bruce) Clasen of Plymouth, Minn., Ellen (Jim) Funcke of Coralville, Iowa, Lee Ann (Mike) Gentry of Hamilton, Ohio and Reyne (Don) Koopmann of Epworth, Iowa; 3 sons: Dean (Deb) of Swisher, Iowa, Neil (Ellen) of Dyersville, Iowa and Phil (Jess) of Solon, Iowa; 18 grandchildren and 2 sisters-in-law, Pearl Hullermann and Lois Hullermann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, of February 14, 1995 and 2 brothers, Ted and Tom Hullermann. Velma was born August 4, 1931 in Dyersville, Iowa the daughter of Raymond C. and Marie (Schneider) Hullermann. She married Gerald A. Kramer on April 21, 1953 in Dyersville. Together they farmed in the New Vienna area until retirement in 1994. Velma also worked at the Glover Shirt Factory in Dyersville and was active within the St. Boniface parish and it's Altar Society. Her grandchildren were her greatest love. Friends may call from 3 - 8 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2006 at the Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish scripture service will be held at 4 p.m. and an Altar Society Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2006, St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Vienna with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Cain will officiate.
