Survivors include her 2 sons: William "Bill" (Sandy) of Knoxville, TN and Jerry (Cheryl) of Delhi, 2 daughters: Loey (Bob) McCabe of New Vienna and Pat (Tim) Schoo of Sibley, IA; 7 grandchildren: Jenny Gotto, Danny Gotto, Holly (Dan) Cole, Blake and Wes Vorwald, Jay (fiancé McKenzie Schuldt) Mulder and Dea (Kyle) Pedley and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald in 1990, her son Jim in 1991, a sister, Evelyn Sturm, and 2 brothers: Leonard and Lawrence Sturm. Condolences accepted and information at www.kramerfuneral.com. Dolores was born on May 5, 1917 in Petersburg, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Kramer) Sturm. She married Gerald J. Gotto on September 27, 1944 in Dyersville, Iowa. Together they farmed near Worthington until their retirement in 1965. After moving to town, Dolores kept herself occupied by cleaning houses and working at the Ritz. Her favorite hobbies included quilting, sewing and gardening. Friends may call from 3 - 8 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2006, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish scripture service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday October 10, 2006, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, in Dyersville, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Douglas Loecke.
