Obituary of Joseph Henry Kremer

Survivors include his wife, Bernice, 5 sons: David of Cedar Rapids, IA, Robert (Suzy) of Bennett, CO, Thomas (Dina) of Dubuque, IA, Don of Monticello, IA and Ron (Rose) of Clarence, IA, 2 daughters: Nancy (Mike) Sisson of Liberty, MO and Kathy (Randy) Feldmann of Dyersville, a daughter-in-law, Jean Kremer of Dyersville, seventeen grandchildren, and one great grandson, 2 sisters: Mary Jean Gorney of Arlington Heights, Ill., and Louise O'Neill of Danville, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, James, a daughter-in-law, Lynn, and an infant grandson, Derek Kremer. Joe was born on July 9, 1928 in Dyersville, the son of Joseph and Esther (Schueth) Kremer. He attended Xavier High School and graduated in 1946. He served his country in the United States Army from 1946 to 1948, when he received his honorable discharge. He married Bernice Rose Reuter on September 8, 1951 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Platteville, WI. Joe was employed as the Produce Manager for Rooney's Jack & Jill/Payless Foods for 47 years, retiring on May 4, 2003. He was very active enjoying golf, biking and other outdoor activities.
