Surviving are 4 sons: Gerald (Jane) of Farley, Robert of Worthington, Ernest (Wilma) and David (Jane), both of Hopkinton; a son-in-law, Edwin Althoff of Anamosa; 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law: Cecelia Wulfekuhle of Dyersville, Leona Freiburger of Delhi and Rita Bonert of Hopkinton. He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Mary Ann Althoff; and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Edmund was born December 1, 1916, in Worthington, Iowa, the son of Anton and Martha (Brunkan) Jesenovec. He was united in marriage to Magdalen Ann Bonert on February 17, 1941, in Worthington, Iowa. Together they farmed near Worthington until she preceded him in death on March 24, 2006. He continued to work on the farm up to his death. Edmund enjoyed gardening, wine making, spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren and his dog Daisy. He was a member of St. Paul Parish and its Altar & Rosary Society.
