Obituary of Henrietta Catherine Miller

Surviving are her husband, John B. of Dyersville; 2 daughters: Anna Mae (Lyle, Sr.) Elliott and Elizabeth "Betsy" Miller, both of Dubuque, Iowa; 3 sons: Gerald (friend Sandi Andresen) Miller of Dubuque, Iowa, Charles of Oceola, Iowa, Ralph Miller of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Amy Petit of Freeport, Ill. and a sister-in-law, Louise Schulte, of San Jose, Calif. Henrietta was preceded in death by 2 infant sons: John Henry and Bernard Joseph, a great grandson, Christian Simon, 1 sister, Iva Hoffmann and 2 brothers: John and Milton Barker, 3 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law. Henrietta was born February 13, 1924, in Crandon, Wisconsin the daughter of Lynn E. and Ione (Hopkins) Barker. She graduated from Manchester High School in 1943. On Sept. 25, 1945 she was united in marriage to John B. Miller at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Earlville. Together they made their home in Dyersville. She was employed at the Ertl Company for over 30 years, after which she earned an Associates Degree in bookkeeping from NICC while in her 70's. Henrietta C. "Kay" Miller, 83, of Dyersville, Iowa died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Dyersville after a brief illness. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2007, at the Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2007, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Dyersville. The speaker will be Jared Fixx. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date.
