Survivors include 2 sons: Fred (Kathy) of Guttenberg, IA, and Ron (Joyce) of Luxemburg, 2 daughters: Rose (Louis) Ronnebaum of Earlville and Marilyn (David) Lueck of Dyersville, 22 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters-in-law, Zita Lansing of Dubuque and Sr. Esther Lueck, FSPA, of LaCrosse, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Agnes in 2001, one son, Alois III, 3 brothers: Leo, John and Clement; 4 sisters: Gertrude Steger, Catherine Bockenstedt, Josephine Bockenstedt and Marie Weber. Alois was born on October 7, 1913 in New Vienna, Iowa, the son of Aloysius and Anna (Wedewer) Lansing. He married Agnes Lueck on August 31, 1937 in New Vienna, Iowa. Together they farmed in the New Vienna area until their retirement in 1991. He was a devoted and loving father and husband. As it was his life and hobby, Allie was a true American farmer. He loved to socialize and reminisce with his many friends and family and some of his favorite sayings were "I can't complain" and "I can't help that." Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2008, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 21, 2008, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, in New Vienna, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. John O'Connor.
