Obituary of Regina Anne Burger

Anne was born September 7, 1929 in Cascade, IA to Ed and Cleo (McNally) Lasche. She graduated from St. Martins High School in Cascade. She married Ernie A. Burger on January 20, 1951 at St. Martins Catholic Church in Cascade. Together they ran Burger's Garage in Worthington, IA from 1953 until their retirement in 1978, when they moved to their farm. Anne also worked as a clerk for the cities of Worthington and Cascade. She loved the farm and would spend time gardening and taking care of her flowers. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved to spend time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ernie; her children Vicki (Dean) Kramer, Sand Springs, IA, Julie (Dennis) Schilling, Dubuque, IA, Lolly Burger, Delhi, IA, Ernie J. (Adella) Burger, Vina Del Mar, Chile, and Lori Miller, Earlville, IA; twelve grandchildren; a brother Chuck (Parma) Lasche, Des Moines, IA; sisters Lolly Harding, Del Rio, TX, Phyllis (Don) Appleby, Monticello and Jane (Tom) Freel, Grosse Isle, MI; a brother-in-law Gerald (Ruth) Burger, Dubuque; and a sister-in-law Mildred Burger, Masonville, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother John Lasche, a brother-in-law Alvin Burger, and a sister-in-law and her husband Verla Sue and Olan Tegeler. Anne died Sunday January 27, 2008 at Monticello Nursing & Rehabilitation in Monticello following a short illness. Memorials are preferred to Above and Beyond Hospice Care, Monticello and St. Lukes Hospice, Cedar Rapids, IA
