Please share a memory of Carol to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
She is survived by her brother Albert "Butch" Neyen of Bankston, her nieces and their families: Wanda, Randy, Austin and Landen Knapp of Epworth, Wendy, Joe, Audrey and Ashlyn Kruse of Farley, IA and Lynne, Steve and Logan Wingert of Bankston, two sisters Shirley Ahmann of Farley and Duanne Pins of Epworth, sister-in-law Donna Neyen-Shea of Dubuque, and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bill, Robert and Gary her sister Beverly Drees and an uncle, Bill Graf. Carol was born in Graf, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Philomena (Graf) Neyen. She attended and graduated from St. Clement High School in Bankston. She was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church in Bankston. She enjoyed attending fairs and livestock shows at the county, state and national level. She was a fan of Iowa Hawkeye basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball and loved her trips to St. Louis. One of her favorite pastimes was to take car rides especially in the fall to look at leaves. She loved to spend time with her nieces and their families and attending her great nephews sporting events. She enjoyed shopping, getting together with her friends, and loved doing whatever everyone else was doing. Carol's family would like to thank Fr. Joe McDermott and the staffs of the Finley Hospital, Mercy Medical Center, Ennoble Manor, Tri State Dialysis and her CNA Abbey Boals, for all her extra special help. Funeral services will be held privately for the family at a later date.
