She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence, one daughter, Sherry Riniker, one sister, Maxine Zangerle, her father and mother-in-law: Art and Dorothy Riniker. Shirley was born on November 26, 1951 in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence P. and Bernadette (McElmeel) Smith. She married Richard "Dick" Riniker on November 25, 1972 in Dyersville, Iowa. Shirley enjoyed singing in the choir, shopping, spending time with family, friends and children, arts & crafts and making chocolate brownies from scratch.
