Survivors include his wife Shirley of Delhi, Iowa; 8 children: Larry (Mary) Weber, Marshalltown, Iowa Jerry (Cindy) Weber of Hopkinton, Iowa, Patty (Mark) Rodenkirk of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dan (Pam) Weber of Manchester, Iowa, Kathy (Jim) Stelken of Delaware, Iowa, Dave (Cindy) Weber of Ankeny, Iowa, Karen (Steve Fairbanks) Weber of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Kay (Kerry) Sternhagen of Delhi, Iowa, 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, 1 brother: Charles (Cathy) Weber of Fayetteville, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Cletus F. Weber. Robert was born March 11, 1931 in Dyersville, Iowa the son of Alois and Clara (Vorwald) Weber. He married Shirley Ann Digmann on May 26, 1952 in Dyersville, Iowa and went to Basic Training for the US Army on June 6, 1952. He served two years during the Korean Conflict, stationed primarily in California. When they returned he worked several jobs, but settled on a career as a meat cutter at the Delhi Locker. While working at the Locker, Bob and Shirley owned and operated the Delhi Tap. He was a member of the Delhi American Legion Post. Robert L. "Bob" Weber, 77 of Delhi, Iowa died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester, Iowa. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov.25, 2008 at the Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa. Private services will be held at a later time. Memorials are prefered to the Delhi Lions Club or the Delhi Legion Post.
