Survivors include her children: Randy (Ellen) Wulfekuhle, Gail (Steve) Oberreuter, Barb (Kevin) Topping, Marv (Kelly) Wulfekuhle, all of Manchester, Ia, Joyce (John) Hillebrand of Dyersville, Jean (Loras) Borgerding of Holy Cross, Karen (Jim) Wilson, Mary Ann (Roger) Bries and Tina (Cecil) Hankins, all of Marion, IA, Tom Wulfekuhle of The Colony, TX, Vern Wulfekuhle of Phoenix, AZ, 26 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Mercedes Maiers and Imogene Bagge both of Dyersville, brothers-and-sisters-in-law: Virgie Hoffman of Dyersville, Leveda Drees of Manchester, Alice Wulfekuhle of Monticello, Lester (Elaine) Wulfekuhle of Edgewood, and Willie (Joann) Wulfekuhle of Warren, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leroy in 1993, one grandson, Andrew Wilson, 2 brothers, Cletus and Gerald (Aurelia) Grawe, and brothers-in-law: Jerome Wulfekuhle, Ambrose Maiers, Jerome Bagge, Albin Hoffman and Don Drees. Madonna was born on July 14, 1931 in Dyersville, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Clara (Goerdt) Grawe. She attended the Dyersville Country School through the 8th grade. Madonna married Leroy Wulfekuhle on February 16, 1953, in Dyersville, Iowa. Together they farmed near Greeley until retirement in 1986. Madonna liked to knit, crochet and read. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Greeley from 1960 - 1986 and a current member of St. Francis Xavier Parish. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2009, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish scripture service will be held at 2 P.M.
