Surviving are her children: Verna Fangman of Dyersville, Jack (Betty), Bill (Pat), Ken (Nancy), Jerry (Teri), all of Avon Park, FL, and Marian McCoy, of Lake Wales, FL, 22 grand children, 39 great grand children, and 4 great great grand children. Wilma is also survived by a brother, Charles (Betty) Klocker of Dubuque, and a sister, Mary Esther Esch, of Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Marcia, a brother Everett K., 3 sisters, Lorraine Krapfl, Stasia Koopman, and Dorothy Klocker, a son-in-law, Clarence Fangman, and a daughter-in-law, Judith Heiring. Wilma was born on July 21, 1915 in Filmore, Iowa the daughter of John and Catherine (Claus) Klocker. She moved to Dyersville with her parents and attended Xavier school. After graduating in 1933 and earning her teaching certificate at the University of Dubuque, she taught at Columbus and St. Francis one room schools north and east of Dyersville until marrying John R. Heiring on June 23, 1936, in Dyersville, Iowa. In 1954, the family moved to Florida, where she and her husband were instrumental in helping establish Our Lady of Grace, the Catholic Church in Avon Park. At that time, it was a mission of Sebring, where her brother-in-law, Fr. Emil Heiring, was pastor. Her husband, John, preceded her in death, in 1995, after 58 years of marriage.
