Lois was born on July 30, 1924, in Chillicothe, Missouri, the daughter of Clyde and Lena Burner Siders. She married Warren A. Phipps on February 14, 1945, in the South Beaver Baptist Parsonage, Boone County, Iowa.Lois was born on July 30, 1924, in Chillicothe, Missouri, the daughter of Clyde and Lena Burner Siders. She married Warren A. Phipps on February 14, 1945, in the South Beaver Baptist Parsonage, Boone County, Iowa. Lois was a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Dyersville and past member of Ridgeport, South Beaver, Burnside, and Ames Baptist Churches. Lois also held many positions in Sunday school, Bible study groups and women's church groups. She greatly enjoyed her family and was as involved as she could be with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite pastimes included cooking family dinners, knitting, crocheting, reading and bird watching. Survivors include her daughters: Ellen L. Boker of Otho, Iowa; and Claudia S. Heiderscheit and husband Bill of Dyersville, Iowa; one son, Craig A. Phipps, DVM and wife Debra of Waukon Iowa; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren: Mark (Kerri) Boker and their children, Kalib, Kyra and Keely of Rolfe, Iowa; Jason (Nicole) Boker and their son, Joel, of Ankeny, Iowa; Chad (Erica) Boker and their twins, Molly and Lily, of Ankeny, Iowa, Josh Phipps of Waukon, Iowa and Kaitlin (fiance, Brian Melcher) Phipps of Monona, Iowa; one brother: C.L. "Larry" Siders; two sisters: Nell (Cal) Borrusch and Merna Crapser; several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Warren; her parents: 2 sisters: Verna Siders in infancy and Isabelle (Eldon) Norman; 3 brothers: Cleveland R. "Bud", Hobert and Jesse Siders; a brother-in-law: Donald Crapser and a sister-in-law: Elizabeth Siders. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2009, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Boone, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Mineral Ridge Cemetery, Ridgeport, Iowa. Officiating is Rev. Keith Amunson of the Evangelical Free Church of Dyerville. Pallbearers for Lois's funeral service are: Mark, Jason and Chad Boker, Josh and Kaitlin Phipps and Kalib Cabbell.
