(Nikki) of Estes Park, Colo., 23 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, James Hogan of Arizona and Robert Hogan of Worthington, Iowa, 2 sisters, Donna Wolfe of Worthington, Iowa and Joyce Digmann of Platteville, Wis. brothers and sisters-in-law: Lyle Gassmann of Dubuque, IA, Betty Gotto of Bankston, IA, Gladys Knepper of Dyersville, Mary Agnes (James) Schnier of Bellvue, IA, Connie Lueck of Mineral Point, WI, LeRoy (Marge) Gassmann of Asbury, IA, Robert (Bev) Gassmann of Opelousas, LA, Kenneth Gassmann of Bullhead City, AZ, Gerald Gassmann of Davenport, IA, Betty Hermsen Gassmann and Robert Fitzgerald, both of Dyersville, Iowa She was preceded in death by her parents, her parents-in-law, Al and Leonette Gassmann, 2 sisters-in-law, Sylvia Fitzgerald, Eileen Besler, and a brother-in-law, John Gassmann, Pat was born on August 9, 1935, in Worthington, Iowa, the daughter of Ray J. and Marie I. (Schwendinger) Hogan. She married Marvin R. Gassmann on January 31, 1953, in Worthington, Iowa. Together they farmed and raised their family just south of New Vienna. Pat loved taking care of her patients and working with her co-workers as a CNA at Mercy Medical Center in Dyersville for 34 years. She enjoyed gardening and making rosaries for others. Pat's secret passion was fishing. Friends may call from 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a parish scripture service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friends may also call after 7:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2009, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Vienna, Iowa, with burial in St. Paul Cemetery in Worthington, Iowa. Officiating will be Rev. John O'Connor.
