Obituary of Michael Alan Bagge

Survivors include his wife, Ronda, 3 children: Cooper, Jaxson and Adriahna Bagge, all at home, his mother, Carol Bagge of Dyersville, IA, one sister, Ann (Ali) Chowdhury of Omaha, NE and their children Emily and Ashley Chowdhury, one brother, John Bagge of Petersburg, IA, father & mother-in-law, Ron and Sherill Bowers of Toddville, IA, brothers & sisters-in-law: Heather (Matt) Smith and their children, Alexandria and Victoria of Cedar Rapids, IA, Brandon (Victoria) Bowers of Dallas, TX; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Bagge in 2008, and his grandparents. Mike was born on July 2, 1965, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Leon and Carol (Lansing) Bagge. He attended SS. Peter & Paul School in Petersburg and graduated from Beckman High School in the class of 1983. He married Ronda Bowers on May 20, 2004, in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Petersburg, Iowa. Mike was an active member of the parish, serving as a Past President of the Parish Council. Together they farmed the Petersburg area raising their family. How do you put into words what a wonderful man Mike was? He was a soul mate and best friend to his wife, an amazing father to his children, a loving son and brother. Mike adored his children and wife and on most days could be found with a little one in his lap on a tractor. Mike's lifelong passion for farming was known far and wide. He wouldn't have been happy doing anything but farming with his brother, John. He was a great friend and faithful neighbor, always there when you needed a hand. Although he lost his life, always remember he was doing what he loved. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa where a parish scripture service will be held at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 21, 2009 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Petersburg, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. John O'Connor.
