Obituary of Margaret Marie Conrad

Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Margaret was born on August 3, 1922 in Aberdeen, South Dakota, the daughter of Laurence and Catherine (Schile) Crippes. She married Louis M. Conrad on November 23, 1943, in Holy Cross, Iowa. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1996. Together they farmed in the New Vienna area until retirement in 1983 when they moved to Holy Cross. She truly appreciated the many friendships she developed there. Margie loved quilting, creating personalized quilts for all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed being at the river fishing and spending many Sundays at the cabin with her family. Survivors include her children: Bonnie (Willie) Prier of Dubuque, Karen (Dale "Chuck") Lynch of Platteville, WI, and Dave (Susan) Conrad of Lawrenceville, GA, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, 2brother-in-law, Leo Meyer and Wilfred "Butch" (Anna Mae) Vaske, both of Dyersville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Louis in 1996, two sons, Thomas in 1981, James in 2000, brothers-and-sisters-in-law: Merlin (Betty) Conrad, Virginia Meyer, Alfred (Idell) Conrad, Robert (Eileen) Conrad. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Hospice of Dubuque, especially Mom's angels, Melanie, Nicole, Megan and Lynne. Peace Mom.
