Where do I start or end with so many memories of my times with my childhood best friend. The roar of his Honda 70 coming down our lane meant me and Kevin were going off on an adventure! Whether it was exploring a new trail at the quarry or finding a whole new woods to discover, Kevin had an insatiable appetite for discovering something we had never seen and with a big smile on his face. As adults, our life’s diverged and we would go years without seeing each other. On the lucky occasion that I would run into Kevin when I was back home, the first thing I would see is that signature smile. Then he would say something like “Hey Mark, you want some pickles?” Sure enough, he would go out to his car and give me a big jar of pickles he had made grown in his garden and mixed with a little extra kick of jalapeños. Kevin, I am so sad you left us earlier than you were supposed to. Though you’re not here in person, I hope you are peering in on us with that big smile, which makes my day whenever I think of it. Rest in Peace Mark Knepper
