Obituary of Steven Thomas Kelchen

Steven “Ben” Kelchen, 72 of Center Junction, Iowa passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024.

 

Per his request, there will be no services.

 

He graduated from Monticello High School in 1971 and worked at Theisen’s and then retired from Welter Storage of Monticello, IA.

 

Survivors include his loving wife, Korene Williams; a stepdaughter, Toni (Don) Ellis; grandchildren: Jayden and Joel Ellis; siblings: Bill (Dolores) Kelchen of Strawberry Point, John Kelchen of Marion, and Ruth (Dick) Pasker of Central City, IA; in-laws: Norene Fuller, Mark Palmer, Betsy Kelchen of Cedar Rapids, and Vicki Kelchen of Monticello.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Leona Kelchen; brothers: Allen, Bob, Larry, Phil, Lee, and Charlie Kelchen; sisters: Theresa Dullea, Betty DeRosia, and Rita Kelchen; half-sisters: Mary Eleanor Graessle and Catherine Matthews.

 

“Welcome our beloved brother into the company of the saints, where tears are no more and suffering and pain are ended, where there is great joy, abundant life and peaceful rest in your gracious presence. We pray one day to be united again with loved ones who have passed away, so that together we may praise you forever and ever. Amen.”
