My sympathy to the family of Emmett. I remember Emmett from the early 1970's, when he worked for Jack Link Truck Line, with my dad "Jupe" Jaeger. He was a highly skilled mechanic and truck driver. I helped Emmett on his "spare time" take apart the old Dyersville water tower tank - bolt by bolt and cut it up for scrap. I also remember riding in the truck with Emmett 4 trips back an forth from Dyersville to Rath packing plant in Waterloo, this was after his 8 hour shift as a mechanic. I was his 14 year old co- pilot and remember on the last trip back saying "Emmett, I think your falling asleep", and he would stop and get out of the truck for a few minutes. I was greatful to know Emmett, as he was a role model for mechanical skills, and he was a dedicated hard working man. RIP Emmett. Doug Jaeger Cape Coral, FL
