Obituary of Glenda Ida Hall

Glenda I. Hall, 84 of Monticello, Iowa passed away Thursday April 25, 2024 at home surrounded by her loved ones.

A private graveside committal service will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Monticello.

Glenda was born on May 29, 1939 in Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Viola Catlett. 

She married Harlan Hall on September 27,1959 in Monticello where they settled and raised their family. She had several hobbies that included gardening, sewing, and volunteer work. She had a long dedicated career at St. Luke’s Hospital in the housekeeping department. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.   

Survivors include her children: Debra Bellavance of Sneeds Ferry, NC, Denise (Dr. Jeffrey) Westpheling of Marion, Pamela (Jerald, Jr.) Johnson of DeForest, WI and Brian (Erin) Hall of Mechanicsville; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings: Lori Shelton; in-laws: Dalene Hall.            

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harlan; siblings: Deloris Rickels, Lois Pearson; in-laws: Bernal “Pete” (Donna) Hall, Raphael “Ray” Hall, Yvonne (John) Donahue, Robert “Rick/Bob” Rickels, and Roy Pearson.
