I didn't know the guy nicknamed "Buck". I knew Dan who was my neighbor and dear friend. He was a giving and selfless person. He enjoyed mowing our lawn and grilling burgers at the farmers market with me. He acted like a grumpy old bear but was deep down a softy! He would give you the shirt off his back. He was like a big brother to me who LOVED to pick on me. I will truly MISS HIM!!!

Dan was one of my best friends, all around great guy who could cheer anyone up when in the worst of moods. He will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathy to the Goerdt family. Dan was always very witty and made everyone laugh. The class of 1977 enjoyed his sense of humor. May he rest in peace. I can not get off work for the services but know you will all be in my thoughts and prayers
