Kristy and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of John. We have so many great memories of trips to Holy Cross, family picnics, and visits with wonderful cousins (young and old). Sending love to your family, and the extended Taylor family as well.

Wow what a great Guy! We are so lucky to have Met John & Barb! Bringing feed out to the farm was an honor! We loved talking to John & Barb! So many great memories- From the time Barb made Tommy a hot dog to the day John took us up in his Silo! Wow what a great place to party & spend the holidays! If only when our nephew Matt helped get the Silo fixed up if only Matt would of put a bathroom in there so they didn't have to walk down all the steps. Every time we ran into John No matter what town or after what Mass he always had time to talk! Wow I can't say enough about his beautiful bike! That trike shined brighter than any star in the sky! Wow he is definitely our idol! Hard worker, a very busy man but always had time to talk! We pray for peace in your hearts, Comfort for your sorrow & Love to get you through this difficult time! A little Hug- When ever you are feeling sad and things aren't going right And your usual happy smile has slipped out of sight- Here's A little Hug from us if we cannot be there- Because we want you to know just how much we care! We said a Prayer For You Today and know God must have heard. We felt the answer in our heart, although he spoke no word! We didn't ask for wealth or fame, we knew you wouldn't mind. We asked him to send treasures, of a far more lasting kind! We asked that He be near you, at the start of each new day; to grant you health and blessings and friends to share your way! We asked for happiness for you, in all things great and small. But it was for His loving care, we prayed the most of all. You all have our sympathy! Just remember the next time it storms and it thunders- that noise you hear is not thunder it is John Starting his motorcycle letting us all know he is watching over us! Sending lots of Hugs & Kisses your way! Love, Tom & Jill Mensen

We were so fortunate to spend a weekend last year with John and Barb. We went to Mass in Holy Cross to remember his wonderful brother Joe's 10th anniversary of his passing. All the Chicago relatives have always been welcomed and enjoyed totally the time spent with the whole Taylor Family. John has joined his parents and brothers in Heaven. To say he will be missed by those of us left behind is understated. God Bless Him, Barbara, Pete, Teresa, Steve and beautiful grandbabies.

John has left us far too soon, but he has left us with lessons and many fond memories. Like so many other men from his generation, John was crafty and full of wit, and had an insatiable desire to figure things out. No project was ever too complex, or too difficult, that he couldn't work through and solve.
I had a lot of laughs with John over the years and miss him dearly. I have many fond memories of his antics at the annual LICA Convention in Des Moines, and from job sites around NE Iowa where he could often be found making a pond. I'll never forget the time he got us thrown out of Osterdock, and it wasn't even dark yet. He used to always say, "All roads lead to Osterdock!"
My sympathy to Barb, Pete, Theresa and the entire Taylor clan. Cheers Dan
