Doug was the kind of man one never forgets. He was always willing to make someone’s day. He sure knew how to make my day as a young girl giving me posters of the band Kiss!! Dear Debbie, Carmen(Tony) and Kurt(Beth) and extended family members, This is the day and time the Lord has made for us to mourn and celebrate the life of Doug Gudenkauf. We extend to each of you our sincere sympathy and ask Almighty God to give you courage and strength to go about your lives abiding in love because that is what Doug would have wanted for all of us to do. Doug went about his entire life by spreading love and kindness in this world, so in his memory, let all of us continue to sow love and kindness along our pathways of life. Robert and I have only known Doug for a short time; however, there are times as you walk down the pathway of life, that you encounter someone who carves a never-to-be-forgotten niche in your heart and that is what meeting and becoming a friend of Doug Gudenkauf did for Robert and me. Doug suffered immensely during his tenure on earth, and now all who are left to mourn his passing hopefully can find peace knowing he rests with His Maker free of the pangs of pain and suffering from diabetes. He was hand picked on August 3rd,2023, by Almighty God, the saints, and angels to come and be with those who have gone before him and dwell in the heavenly mansion prepared just for Doug for all of eternity. We will miss you Doug, but you will not be forgotten by any of us who loved and cared for you so deeply. Rest in peace our good, kind, loving and faithful servant-DOUG GUDENKAUF.

Doug was a true friend to all and always was willing to lend a helping hand. I learned a lot from Doug and thankful for him pushing me to take on a challenge that started my sales career. He didn't think of it as losing an employee but instead he wanted to make sure it would help me and our family grow . From helping me remodel our first house to enjoying a lunch or quick visit to give me advice along the way, we remained friends until the very end. Fly high my friend you have made an enormous impact on me and my family and i will never forget our friendship and your mentoring. Playing Monopoly or making margaritas will not be the same without you.
