I don't remember a time when I didn't know Carol. We were toddlers together up on the hill in Dyersville ( it was Linden Place then). I remember in our early teens lying on her bed reading Tiger Beat, reading about Dino, Desi and Billy, the Dave Clark Five, singing My Boy Lollipop (Carol hated that one). Sunny ourselves down at the 'crick', smoking cigarettes we would sneak from home, cooking fish on a tin can over a little fire and listening to the radio...If your're going to San Francisco.... Drinking her brother Bri's dandelion wine. I never saw Carol as happy as when she married Steve (she called him Trooper). His tragic Christmas Eve death devasted her. It took all her strength to carry on. I will remember all our good times together. She was a forever friend. I will miss her. Rest in Peace Carol.

I missed seeing Carol at our 50th class reunion last year. I remember her smile and quick wit. It sounds like Carol has had her share of challenges in her life. I wish her peace and I wish her family comfort.

Carol and I were classmates and friends, so I’ve know her since the 60’s?
Carol was smart, kind and I remember her smile the most. In High School the thing I remember about Carol was her car, because it had push button transmission gears. I have never seem a car like that since. Patti Goedken and I went to visit Carol in Lighthouse Point Florida after Ron died. Carol was so devastated….and then her beloved Zeus died…..Rest in eternal peace Carol. You’re with your 2 boys again, Ron and Zeuser!

Carol and I met in 6th grade and became lifelong friends. It helped that we lived across the street from each other, constantly running back and forth. We kept in touch all these years, keeping up with each other's lives. Carol was smart, funny and a very kind person. She was also the most stubborn person I ever met, and would have insisted on correcting anything I have written here, but I loved her, and will miss her all the same.
Rest in peace, Carol.
