Joe was like a second dad to me. My favorite memory will always be our trip together to Chicago for Paula & J's engagement party. The first hour we listened to the farm report, followed by nothing but static for the next couple hours as the radio station went out of signal. In the final stretch, that same radio station picked up some sort of Spanish speaking broadcast. Not once did the station get changed. He just enjoyed the drive & the conversation, while I quietly laughed to myself in the back seat! I will miss his smile and warm hugs. He was a such great & kind hearted man!
