Obituary of Scott M. Crowley
COGGON, IOWA
After a long journey down a beaten path that many have traveled, Scott M. Crowley, 43, of Coggon, Iowa passed away Monday, July 4th, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Scott was born on December 12th, 1978 to Terry and Carol (Drummy) Crowley. Ever since his feet hit the ground, you could always find him on the family farm. After graduating from Maquoketa Valley High School, he continued in the family line of work. After being friends in high school, to not seeing each other for five years, Scott, along with some friends, met up with Jill (Fangman) at Beavers. On August 21st, 2004, Scott and Jill were married at St. Joseph’s Church in Earlville.
When Scott left the family farm, he started work at Hog Slat in Monticello, and made even more friends. However, he found that sitting in an office was nothing compared to the freedom in the tractor. Then he worked full time at ZBar Farms which became his second family. His two kids, Chantel and Ethan, grew up right by his side. Farming was his life, right up until the end. On the morning of his passing, he made sure everyone was up in time for chores.
He is survived by his wife Jill, and two children, Chantel and Ethan, of Coggon; parents Terry and Carol Crowley of Monticello; brother Brian (Kellie) Crowley of Monticello; in-laws Gib and Carolyn Fangman of Earlville; along with many aunts and uncles, and a niece-on-the-way.
He is proceeded in death by grandparents William and Virginia Drummy, and Harold and Mary Jane Crowley; John and Marcus Drummy.
