Dear Tom and Extended Family,
Your mother, grandmother and friend to many is a one-a-kind woman. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. I know her to have a welcoming personality, and once you met her, you never forgot her. She was such a delight to help at the library, or better yet, when she would come to the garage with a carload of goodies, we would engage in a kind, loving, and generous conversation. Please know, as you walk in the valley of darkness that you have our prayers and admiration. We will hang on tightly to the memories Doris created in our lives and find comfort in knowing she no longer feels the pangs of disease and worries of the world. It is an honor to know your dear mother. I will not forget her. Sincerely meant,
