Obituary of Dorothy C. Neumann

DURANGO, IOWA

Dorothy C. Neumann, 91, of Durango, Iowa passed away January 11, 2021 at MercyOne, Dubuque, Iowa.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday January 14, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rickardsville, Iowa with burial in church cemetery.  Rev. Noah Diehm will officiate.

Dorothy was born October 8, 1929 in Sherrill, Iowa, the daughter of Herbert and Louisa (Pfohl) Stecklein. 

She married Lawrence Neumann on January 6, 1953 in Sherrill, Iowa.

Dorothy enjoyed spending time on the farm tending to the animals and gardening. She cherished her time and many memories with her family and friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Sheila (Ken) Ludovissy of North Buena Vista; grandchildren: Ben Bahl, Jennifer Bahl, Sarah (Thomas) Wells, Jacob (Danielle Kulper) Ludovissy and Amanda (Dan) Errthum; great grandchildren: Dylan, Lorelei, Aubrey, Alaina, and James Bahl, Noah and Levi Ullom, Adalynn Wells, Nathan, Kailey, Carsen, Camden, and Colten Ludovissy, Kayden, Maverick, Bentley, and Taya Errthum; a brother, Leon Stecklein; a sister-in-law, Louise Stecklein.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence in 2006, a daughter, Shirley (Wayne) Jones; two brothers: Cyril and Dorrance Stecklein; in-laws: Joan Stecklein, Don (Mary) Their.

The family would like to thank the staff and friends at Grand Meadows for their compassionate care.
