I am so sorry to hear of Lori's passing. I too knew her at Clarke, meeting on the first day of Freshman Orientation, and we remained friends for a bunch of years after. I miss her sense of humor and her thoughtfulness and her intense loyalty to the people she cared about. We had so much fun! I'm so so sorry that we've lost her. I'll be thinking of her family and everyone who loved her.

Lori was such a kind person. She was a big help to me when my father was dying, giving me names of organizations that could help. I really missed seeing her at Auxiant and it really saddens me to know she is no longer in the world. We need more caring people like her. Kris Overturf-Anderson

I will miss Lori so much! She was a regular at the library, and we always had wonderful conversations. She was funny, smart, and kind. She was so proud of all her nieces and nephews. My deepest sympathy for your family.

Dear Steger Family,
The entire staff at the James Kennedy Public Library wondered for a long time where had our precious Lori gone to as we ceased to see her come in to get books or put the puzzle together. She was our favorite Sat. afternoon visitor. You could find her at the puzzle table or in the back corner reading or looking at her phone. We were numb to learn she had terminal cancer. To you, her family we extend our sincere sympathy. We will pray for all of you as you walk in the valley of darkness. We all cared so much for Lori. May she rest in peace free from all the suffering of this world. She will now enjoy the rewards of living a good life. So sorry Miriam Eick

Lori and I worked together, and I was fortunate enough to keep in touch with her after she stopped working. Her unwavering optimism, kindness and sense of humor will be what I always remember about her. I am grateful to have known her and she will definitely not be forgotten.

I was fortunate enough to work with Lori, we liked to joke about her WI friends. Lori was a kind soul, with a great sense of humor, always willing to help & was good for a laugh. Lori struggled through with her diagnosis but she never let it get her down. I will miss her dearly but am thankful that she is out of pain. Sending love and virtual hugs, until we meet again.
